FAQ
Do I have to schedule an appointment, or can I just walk-in?
We always accommodate walk-ins when possible, but we strongly suggest booking an appointment prior to your visit. When you set up an appointment, you are reserving a fitting room and one-on-one assistance of a bridal consultant. Saturday is our busiest day of the week, and if uninterrupted service and privacy are concerns for you, we suggest that you make a weekday appointment, when schedules are more flexible.
How long will my appointment last?
We book 1.5 hours for bridal, bridesmaids and Mother-of-the-Bride/Groom appointments. If you find out that you must cancel or are running late for an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that another customer may take advantage of the available time slot.
Who should come with me to my appointment?
We recommend bringing one or two guests whose opinions you trust. We have found that a large party can make the experience overwhelming and confusing for the bride.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Please choose modest undergarments on the day of your bridal appointment and be aware that your consultant will be assisting you in the fitting room. You may consider wearing a half slip or Spanx if this is more comfortable for you.
Should I bring in photos of my favorite styles?
You are welcome to bring in pictures of the gowns you like, however, this is not necessary. Our entire stock of gowns is displayed on the floor. When you come in for your appointment, you will be able to view the gowns and decide which ones you would like to try on. Your consultant will help direct you to styles that fit your vision.
What is your price point?
Bridal gowns range from $1,500 to $5,000, and the majority of our styles run between $2,000 to $3,000. Many of our sample dresses can be also purchased "off-the-rack" at discounts up to 70% off the tag price. Bridesmaids' dresses range from $289 to $499. Please be honest with your consultant about your bridal budget. It is her job to help you find a gown you love at a price you can afford, and falling in love with a gown that is outside of your price range will only put a damper on the rest of your bridal experience.
What designers do you carry?
All of our bridal, bridesmaids and mother of the bride/groom designers are listed on our website. We carry L'Amour by Calla Blanche, Maggie Sottero, Rebecca Ingram, Allure Bridals, Allure Romance, Madison James, Justin Alexander, Bill Levkoff, Christina Wu, Jasmine Bridesmaids, Cameron Blake and Montage by Mon Cheri. For each designer listed, we carry a wide selection of gowns, but not the entire collection. If there is a particular gown you are interested in trying on, please call us or send us an email with the style name/number to confirm that we have a sample of that gown.
Do you have gowns in stock, or must they be ordered?
We are a special order salon, and we have only one sample of each available gown. Once you have selected your bridal gown based on the sample, we order a new gown in your size and selected color. Because the designer does not create your gown until we place an order, a production time is required. bridal gowns take 6 - 9 months to arrive, depending on the style of the gown and the designer. Bridesmaids' and mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses take approximately 4 - 5 months to arrive. We do sell our samples off the rack when we make room for new collections. We have a continually updated sample sale section of bridal, bridesmaids and mother-of-the bride/groom gowns in various sizes.
What sizes are your samples?
Most of our samples are bridal sizes 10 to 16; 18 to 22 for the plus size collection. Most bridal designers' size charts run smaller than the standard retail sizing, so a size 10 sample will fit more like a 6 or 8. Once you have selected your gown, we take your measurements and order the size based on that designer's size chart. Because gowns are ordered in standard sizes, alterations will be necessary. Once your gown arrives, the seamstress will customize the gown for a perfect fit.
Do you provide alterations?
Yes, our highly skilled seamstresses will custom fit any dress whether it was purchased in our store or not. Charges for alterations are extra and are based on the work that needs to be done.
Do you accept returns?
All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable. The final sale policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.
Do you carry plus size sample gowns?
We carry a selection of plus size sample styles in sizes 18 to 24.
